The UGT Reaction Mix consists of two parts, Solutions A and B. They are sold separately. Solution B comprises 5X-UGT Assay Buffer with Alamethicin. When combined, the reagents support glucuronidation by microtomes, S9 and recombinant UGT enzymes.

UGT catalytic activity requires uridine diphosphate-glucuronic acid (UDPGA) as a co-factor. Limitation of the cofactor in an enzyme reaction will affect enzyme kinetics adversely.

The Corning UGT Reaction Mix is optimized to use with Corning recombinant enzymes and liver microsomes and S9 products. It provides convenience to researchers and is easy to use. About 200 to 400 enzyme assays can be performed using each system, depending on experimental design.
